Advanced Offline Mode
Offline Mode ensures your POS remains usable even when the internet connection is unstable or lost.

This section explains advanced behaviors, edge cases, and best practices when using the POS offline.
Offline Capabilities (Advanced View)
Fully supported offline:
- Creating orders
- Adding items
- Editing cart
- Applying comments
- Viewing cached product data
- Printing tickets (local printers only)
- Saving orders locally
Partially supported:
- Table state (shows last known state)
- Product availability (cached)
Not supported offline:
- Online payments (Stripe / PayPal / Payconiq online)
- Delivery ordering & address validation
- Reservation requests
- Syncing POS with KDS
- Multi-device table status sync
- Multi-store switching
Local Storage Behavior
When offline:
- Orders are saved in a local queue
- A “Pending Sync” badge is displayed
- Once connection returns → all queued orders sync automatically

Cash
✔ Fully supported (POS is local)
Terminal card
✔ Supported if terminal is independent (Most terminals operate separately)
Payconiq POS
⚠ May require network → depends on device
Stripe / PayPal
❌ Not allowed offline
Tips for Venues With Unreliable Wi-Fi
💡 Prefer local LAN network printers
💡 Keep a dedicated POS tablet on wired network
💡 Place a Wi-Fi repeater near the bar/terrace
💡 Enable auto-print for kitchen tickets
💡 Encourage QR orders only if network is stable
Recovery After Internet Returns
When connection is restored:
- System validates queued orders
- Orders sync to backend
- KDS receives all missed tickets
- Dashboard updates
- Payment status is recalculated
