A quick reference of common terms used throughout Waiterr Manager.


POS

Point of Sale — the interface used to take orders inside the venue.

KDS

Kitchen Display System — screens used in kitchen, bar or preparation stations.

QR Ordering

Ordering by scanning a QR code at the table.

Dine-In

Orders made inside the venue, either via POS or QR.

Takeaway

Orders picked up by the customer at the establishment.

Delivery

Orders delivered to the customer’s location.

Reservation

System allowing customers to book a table.

A collection of categories and products displayed to customers.

Product

An item you sell (drink, dish, dessert…).

Product Options

Choices linked to a product (size, sauce, extras…).

Accounting Group

Tax configuration group assigned to a product.

Order Status

The state of an order (pending, confirmed, preparing, ready, delivered).

Ticket

Printed receipt containing order details.

Loyalty

Points or benefits associated with customers.

User Role

Level of permissions assigned to staff (Owner, Manager, Server…).
