Quick setup guide

Get your restaurant running on Waiterr Manager fast. Follow these 7 steps in order — most venues complete the essentials in a few hours, not days.

Tip: You can pause between steps. What’s already configured stays saved — resume whenever you’re ready.

Step 1 — Account & establishment

  1. Create your account
  2. Complete the first-time setup wizard
  3. Check your general information (name, address, phone)
  4. Set your opening hours

Done when: you open the Dashboard and see your establishment name in the sidebar.

Step 2 — Menu & products

  1. Create your first menu
  2. Add categories (e.g. Starters, Main courses, Drinks)
  3. Create products and link them to the menu
  4. Add photos — customers order more when they see the dish

Done when: your menu shows at least a few products with prices.

Step 3 — Tables & QR codes (dine-in)

  1. Create areas (Terrace, Dining room, Bar…)
  2. Add tables on the floor plan
  3. Print or download QR codes and place them on tables
  4. Enable QR ordering under Settings → Services

Done when: scanning a QR code opens your menu on a phone.

Step 4 — Payment methods

  1. Open Settings → Payment methods
  2. Read the payment methods overview
  3. Connect at least one online method (Stripe or Payconiq)
  4. Enable cash / card for the POS if you take payments in-house
  5. Configure taxes

Done when: a test order can be paid without errors.

Step 5 — Kitchen screens & printers

  1. Create a production screen (KDS) for the kitchen
  2. Assign products to the right screen (kitchen vs bar)
  3. Set up a printer if you print tickets
  4. Test: place an order and confirm it appears on the KDS

Done when: kitchen staff see new orders without you calling them out.

Step 6 — Team & POS

  1. Invite your staff with the right roles
  2. Walk through the POS overview with your team
  3. Practice: add items, select a table, pay an order

Done when: a team member can take and close an order on their own.

Step 7 — Optional extras

Add these when you need them — not required to go live.
