Reserve with Google
Publish your restaurant on Google Maps and Google Search with a one-tap “Book a table” button. Guests reserve straight from Google and the booking lands in your Waiterr calendar in real time — you don’t have to log in anywhere else.

Why turn it on
- More bookings, less friction. Guests who search “restaurant near me” book without leaving Google.
- No double entry. Every Google reservation shows up in your
Waiterr reservation board like any other, with the source tag
Google. - You stay in control. Cancel, move, mark as no-show — the changes are pushed back to Google automatically.
Before you start
Fill in your venue profile so Google has everything it needs. The setup checklist on the settings page tells you exactly what’s missing.
- Postal address — street, city, country (Settings → General)
- Coordinates — search your address again in General settings and they auto-fill
- Phone number — a number a guest can call to reach you
- At least one active reservation shift (Reservations → Shifts)
- Online reservations enabled for dine-in (Settings → Services)
Turn it on

- Open Settings → Integrations → Reserve with Google.
- Check the setup checklist. Anything not green needs to be fixed first — the toggle stays off until every item is done.
- Flip Enable Reserve with Google. Your venue is now published in Sandbox — a test mode Google uses to validate the setup.
- Google’s team certifies the integration (usually 1–2 weeks). You’ll see live checks in the Recent activity panel.
- Once certified, click Production. The booking button appears on your Google listing within 24 hours.
The three stages
Add-ons
Waitlist

When a slot is fully booked, guests can join a waitlist from Google. As soon as a table frees up on your side, the first person in line is notified automatically.
Enable it in the Add-ons section. Only available once the venue is in Production.
No-show protection (payments)

Ask for a card at booking time. The card is authorised (not charged) up front; if the guest doesn’t show up, you can capture a no-show fee.
Requirements:
- Stripe connected in Settings → Payment methods
- Card pre-authorization enabled in the dine-in service configuration
- The Payments add-on turned on in this page
Keep an eye on things
The settings page shows the key indicators at a glance:
- Last feed push — Waiterr sends your latest schedule and open slots to Google every night at 3 AM. You can also click Push feed now to force it.
- Last availability update — every time you take a reservation, cancel, or mark a no-show, your open slots on Google refresh within seconds.
- Recent activity — the last 25 exchanges with Google. Green numbers = healthy, red = something went wrong.
Frequently asked
Do my customers see Waiterr on Google? No. Your restaurant name is what shows up. The booking flow is Google’s; Waiterr powers it invisibly behind the scenes.
Can I keep my own booking page too? Yes. Reserve with Google is an extra channel — your existing Waiterr booking page keeps working exactly as before.
Can I turn it off temporarily? Yes. Switch to Suspended on the settings page. Bookings from Google stop immediately. Flip back to Production to resume.
A slot on Google is showing as booked but I have space. Click Push feed now on the settings page — Waiterr will resend your latest availability to Google. It usually takes a few minutes to reflect.
A guest cancelled from Google. Do I need to do anything? No. The cancellation lands in your reservation board automatically, and the slot reopens for other guests.
Can I charge no-show fees without asking for a card up front? No. Google requires the guest to be informed at booking time. Enable the Payments add-on to make this compliant.
